I guess you should keep pressure on it. I was running from the flybdidge with out the benifit of fully functional instrumentation. The new gauges in the lower helm have indicated questionable oil pressure for a while. I can't be sure but , my guess is that I had a total loss of oil pressure. From the color of the connecting rod I pulled out of the bildge it was difitly hot enough to indicate loss of friction preventing goo.
