Hi Jim, 
 
There are a few minor mods that need to be done, but it's basically a bolt in operation.  Edelbrock sells a banjo fitting for a USCG rated hose that makes it easier to adapt the fuel line to the carb.  Naturally, the finest marine fittings, etc., all in conformance with USCG regs must be used. 
 
I have to run right now, but later I'll post some addl info on how this swap works on a 427. 
 
I am presently running one on a smaller motor (327F) and the more I run it the more I like it.  There are some addl precautions I'd take to be sure you keep those new carbs free of debris and running well, which I'll get into later, hopefully this eve.
