These old boats, commanders and Hatts are some of the finest pieces of art around! When I sold my 35" commander I sold it for more then what it cost in 1969, then bought 1972 hatteras (in 2006) for more then what it cost when it was brand new!! I felt I would never loose money on a commander or Hatteras (certain years of course) If I kept is stock appearing and in great shape! So far so good! These boats are like buying cottage with a great foundation in a sought after neighborhood, a little work and you can just about double your money! If I had $200,000 grand to spend and my choices where a 1995 50' sea ray, silverton, oceans, carver or a 35'-47' 1967-1972 commander it would be the commander hands down!!
