I'm gutting my 31' sport express, and found the steel cantilevers rusted to oblivion. The front of the flying bridge was supported solely by the windows. At the rear of the flying bridge, something has to provide lateral (side to side) rigidity or it will kinda pivot around the front windows, wobbling at the rear. The roof itself is really strong, but there ain't much holding it up!
