Automobile racing history has always been a fascinating thing for me, both in the engineering, preparation, and actual racing too. In my younger days, I helped out with a pair of identical 482 cubic inch open chamber Corvette's, equipped with racing automatic transmissions, and they won the National Championship here in the US that year. That was quite an experience, and I can still smell the burned rubber smoke!
Racing karts is super fun too! I had one in my younger days, but never saw speeds much over 50 with it!
