The '64-69 Commander 38 is probably the finest, thickest, strongest and most asthestically pleasing hull form ever put together by man. Still, regarding the issue of weight, I believe the Essential Guide states 20K lbs - new & empty, no?
Add something (something) for age, alot more for critical parts (TVs, spare batteries, gensets, etc,), some for dunnage (anchors, ropes, tools, etc), (got a bridge?) and 8 lbs per gal gas/water - and well then, in this corner, we have, the once and reigning,...
