Actually im more wondering what would prevent the universal fit of this LM671 manifold i have if it is new and unused.... what im thinking is if the ports are un polished you could theoreticly open them us and gasket match the ports to the heads if need be right??? by the way this is the weind 6-71 blower manifold....

Cylinder Head Differences

Your intake will fit any series MEL head.

The early 58 was unique, and replaced by a head for 58/59 production. The 60/62 were 2V and slightly smaller ports. The 63/65 430 was a new style head for the 4V (requiring special pistons). The 66/68 462 head had slightly smaller runners.

I would try to port match with the gasket and head ports and not cut the intake as this thing will be gold with no modifications.

Use It

What I am saying is that if you port the intake to the heads, it may reduce its' resale value. Try to port the head runners to the intake.

I would think that a mild media surface cleanup would not hurt the resale value.

No reason not to use and enjoy. Photos welcome...
