I would add that there are some mistakes in that thread in regards to a Ford-O-Matic

The original Ford-O-Matic was a cast iron case trans but in 59 a new option came out and it was the two speed Ford-O-Matic and it is not related to the cast iron trans which was now called a Cruise-O-Matic. The Ford-O-Matic of the 59-64 time frame had a one piece aluminum case and used a special flywheel which is very hard to find today. In the parts book this trans is refered to as an F/M/2 while the more common cast iron case trans is called a F/M or a C/M (depends on the year). Hawkrod
