Hi,
From what I have read here in the forum, to bring out a 430 to 524, one must do the following things...
1) use a 462 crank and bring the journals down to 2.20"(from 2.60" standard journals) to accept BBC conrods
2) go up in piston size to .060"
I have a couple of questions relating to the above points
Is the crank journal just brought down to 2.20" (from centre) or is it an off set grind down to 2.20"?
Is the .060" overbore from the 430's original bore of 4.29" or the 462's 4.38"?
With the 524 done, can the standard camshaft/valve geometry profile be used?
Besides modifying the oil galleries, what else should be done?
Great link for the above

Has anyone here done this combo and what were the results (dyno & on road)?
How streetable would this combo be?
The car I have in mind is a 65 Lincoln Continental
Cheers Angelo
