Hi. I'm new to the site and new to rebuilding engines. I have a 65 lincoln with a running 430 and i have a parts car that my brother and i took the 430 out of and want to rebuild for performance. what do i do now/ next. Any help would be cool.

Building the enbine isn't that tough. The engine doesn't need much. Small cam, upgrade the ignition and a decent 750 CFM carb will do it. As noted, tons of stuff in this forum. Take some time and look through it. My advise would be to look at your transmission options carefully. Try to get a C-6 and 2000 stall converter behind your engine as the Mel puts out huge amounts of torque and will destroy the older automatics and flywheels. Only the 1958, 59 and 60 430s will bolt up to 390 ford transmissions. After 60, take care.
