Probably a stupid question but...is a 430 internally balanced? I presume it is, but wanted to verify. My flex plate is hammered and need to order a new one. I presume a 153 tooth FE Flexplate will work? I am putting on a C6.

1959. Has the FE bellhousing pattern. The flexplate I have looks like an FE flexplate (153 teeth) but some of the gears are hammered. Summit has one for $50. But you can spend much more than that I suspect.

I would strongly suggest that you obtain a flex plate suitable for racing. Speaking from experiance, I have seen two stock flex plates get twisted up like a four leaf clover. Not fun. TJR
