Photos that are uploaded to the net will remain as long as the photo host location maintains them. If you upload photos to photobucket, for instance, and copy them here, they should stay here as long as photobucket has them active. If you happen to delete them from photobucket, then they'll automatically vanish from here and everywhere else you may have them linked.

Here is an ebay image of a pair of Lincolns that just sold for $390. This image will disappear when the ebay seller deletes them from his photo host album.
Here's a thread I posted that still has images from my photobucket album activated. I plan on keeping these activated basically forever.
