gear drive?

Anybody ever make or buy a gear drive for the camshaft? Any info out there? TJR

I have never come across the CL distance between the cam and crank. I would imagine at one time someone offered a drive but have not come across anything conclusive. CLOYES would be the best to ask.

My brother says that some company made a gear drive with an extra drive off it for a supercharger. He thinks it was associated with a fuel injection system. I can't seem to find anything in the old mags. TJR

Howared Johansenn of Howards Cams fame in the late 50's and early 60's made several different parts for the MEL He never made very many due to low demand, but he made many items. Some were Mushroom lifter cams with extreme durations for the day. These created incredible torque. Chain drive blower drives as shown in the other posts. Front drive magneto drives, front mounted blower drives and other items. He was the first to produce cams for the MEL in late 1957.
