Does anyone know if the alternator mounts from the 1962 430 will fit on the 1960-430. I want to change out the gen to alternator, want to do it cheaper than the cost of a powergen.

Just make some custom brackets if you need to out of 1.5 X 3/16 flat bar. i did this to fit an internally regulated 200A GM 1 wire. This will allow you to get a great alternator for cheap!!

The bracket will bolt to the front hole on the side of the block and as far as I know, both early and later versions had these holes although thay may not be tapped.
You should be able to mount a 3G 130A ALT to the engine. It is a 7" swing.
