Anyone in this viewing audience been over to the HAMB lately..non kosher of course. It seems that there might be a possibility that someone, we won't mention names....might just be offering the Ever Allusive Finned Aluminum Valve Covers for the (Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln) Engine Series, or (EEFAVCMELES)
Just incase someone out there is not aware of this little fact. Just about any performance part, or engine accessory for that matter, will require a bit more coinage than the more traditional engine buildup. There are a number of individuals out there that are building these engines/cars on a very high end (output) level. There are also a number of people out there that are trying to build an high performance aftermarket source for individuals building these cars/engines. This is not to say that the only individuals to benefit from the development of aftermarket backing would be the builder who might be considered outside the mainstream Lincoln owner.
There are a number of hard parts that are no longer available for the MEL Engine that are also needed to keep the predominately stock vehicles running. I am under the impression that the lions share of the individuals out there who are driving these cars desire to make their car/engine look as nice as possible. Supply and demand will set the ultimate price for the manufactured product. If you are serious about acquiring a set of The Ever Allusive V/C, please speak up and put out the $$$$. Please read Uncle Scooby's most recent post on the HAMB for some insight on the matter about just what is involve with the production of such an animal...no easy or inexpensive task her boys and gals. Anyone willing to step forward to produce this item will require finical backing, period!
