I had received an E-Mail from an individual earlier (clening out my mailbox this morning) and included was this warning;

You know., everytime I visit your MEL forum I have to clean up my computer..one visit always yields the following..."Network 54 cookie,GATOR/GAIN software and worst of all "Claria" Plug In....I can block the cookie with Norton but have to use my SpySweeper to clean up the rest...that's why I don"t visit as often as I like.....

This being a so-called FREE FORUM, in order to make money the server allows rampant cookie jars and who knows what else to roam here. Until Theo changes the server, I am not going to post here due to fear of picking up the CHEERPIES (a canarial disease that is untweetable).

It's true that when you come here and try to view individual posts, it will pop up another site. For me most of the time it is castlemedia with the screwy little icons. If you have any sort of virus protection at all with a cookie cutter, they'll take care of this. Don't be scared into not posting or viewing.

Yes, I see some cookies from the site, which I routinely delete every day. I go in and take out ALL the Temporary Internet Files as a matter of routine housekeeping. I cleaned out everything, hit refresh, and then looked at what was added by this site just to see for sure what it was.

Big deal, try to go into MS NBC news or something and take a look at what they add to your computer. This is nothing I'd worry about.

Regards, P
