I ran stock distrib on isky roller, no problems, even swapped back and forth with a Mallory marine dual point (that never ran quite right) without any problems. Remember that a 61 or later cam sprocket must be used and that may change spacing. ISKY catalog does not require, recomend or even sell distrib gear for any MEL cams. TJR

Mallory was for MEL, a marine distributor. I still have it. It will not keep steady dwell at any RPM. Timing will vary 3 degrees plus or minus. Bearing/bushing seems tight, new points make no difference, suspect a bad lobe. Since I put a petronics conversion on stock unit years ago, no problems. TJR

OK i got some info on dist gears. IF anyone is going to use an old isky roller unit they must have a bronze gear and they do not make bronze gears anymore (not sure if they ever did?) But ive contacted a machine shop and they are going to reproduce this gear in bronze for me. im gonna hav ea couple extra made since the setup fee is kind of high so if anyone needs a gear give me a buzz and ill get you hookedup.

Depends on qty

Rocky it depends on qty but right now im looking at like 120-150 a piece. I will split the cost between the qty and give you a fair deal. Lets drum up as much support as possible and get the cost as low as we can. By the way this gear is going to be machined out of AMPCO 45 Aluminum Bronze Nickel ALLOY It is the best route for this type of application.
