I need a real good set of plain (no script) valve covers for a MEL. They have to be good enough to be chrome plated. Most Mercury's had the Mercury script and the Edsel had the 475 script. The Lincoln, some Mercury's and the T-birds were plain.

I also need a hard bronze distributor drive gear. I am using a roller cam and need one. There were some (a few) made by cam grinders back in the old days. If anyone has one, contact me. Or, I need a gear made if you know of a good machine shop that is into this sort of thing.

I bet they can source a gear for you. Most likely it will be an FE.

FE has one less tooth (15) than the MEL (16). It might as well be a hundred teeth
