B9 = 1959
M = MERCURY
E = ENGINE, POWERTRAIN & CHASIS PRODUCT ENGINEERING
6090 = CYLINDER HEAD PART NUMBER
A = FIRST DESIGN
I don't have the product line code and design code numbers for the Edsels.
ED = ?
6090 = CYLINDER HEAD PART NUMBER
The heads on the 58 Edsel 410, The 58-64 Lincoln 430, 58-60 Mercury 383 & 430 are interchangable but I can't break down the numbers for you on the ED head or the ws block.
EDG were Merc's and >?
EDJ's were T-Birds

I haven't the casting numbers for the 410 but the one cylinder head is a replacement (B9ME).
Early Casting I.D. Nos;
EDG = 383
EDH = 410
EDJ = 430
ED 6015 was used on both the 1958 383/430 as they used the same block. I need to do more EDSEL research.
There is further casting I.D. and date code information on this site.
