hi all. this is my first post on this site. I have recently purchased two Edsel Corsairs, one 58 and one 59. the 58 has the 410 in it. is there any book out there on how to rebuild these engines? i have books on every other Ford V-8 but not this one.

...will be the appropriate year shop manual for the year car and/or engine, in your case 1958 EDSEL CITATION. You can find origionals or quality reprints on E-BAY.
The MEL engine design is somewhat unique from other engine styles.
Congratulations on your find!

that second one was new to me. i keep doing google searches to see what i find. i came across one site where a guy was keeping a diary on restoring his edsel.

not yet, i tried a title place listed in hemmings but they wouldn't do arkansas because of our new title laws. i think this car would be worth the effort though.
i bought two Edsels at the same time. the 58 corsair 2dr 410-4v without title and a 59 corsair 4dr 361-4v with title (colorado). the 58 still has its california tag on it. i'll do some online research.
i called california with the VIN and they don't have any record of the 58 edsel. called ark dmv and i'll have to get a bonded title. the two forms are 'statement of facts' and state police VIN verification. i'll get the process started and see what happens.
