(2) 59-60, 430 cubic inch Lincolns converted for Marine use by Chris Craft. Im not sure what all the marine differences might be.
Anyone with 59, 60 era T-birds or Continentals with the MEL 430, heres your chance to have blocks, heads and manifolds for your classic.
As much as I wanted to keep these great engines, rebuilding for marine use seems to be impractical. The counter rotating engine and the old Paragon transmissions are going to be problems. Anyway, these engines need a new home. They are complete, clean, and would be great rebuilds. I can FAX all the specs. They are not runners right now but I know they ran within the last year.
Im accepting offers.

I saw the ad for your two mel's, I would be able to pay up to
$6,000.00 apiece for the engines if they are all there. Iam
not worried about whether or not they run, just that they are complete. I would be more than happy to remove them from wherever they are if they are not ready for shipping.

Sorry about this...I was re-reading my post and realized that I has inadvertently said $6,000 when what I meant to post was $600 per engine. This may seem like a low offer, but I would appreciate your consideration.

Apology
To this forum and moderators I apologize for the posting on “offer”.
I sent the message on my 430's from the computer at work...and a practical joker thought he would have some fun with me. He got me pretty good, but no disrespect to this forum was intended. My post is true and I seriously want to get these engines to the people who appreciate them.
Sorry

While I am not the owner of this forum (and not quite sure how I was made modulator), I see nothing wrong in your wanting to advertise/accept an offer for your MELS. As far as I am concerned, this is exactly why this forum is here, to exchange information and offer one another parts and pieces. I for one would surely hate to see them go to scrap.
If you receive no serious offers here, please consider HEMMINGS or maybe a marine publication.
Was the cost of overhaul the reason you are trying to get rid of them?

Thanks KULTULZ,
It’s not just the overall cost, but everything that has to be added on....like heat exchangers, water circulating pumps, the cam for the counter rotating engine, a backwards starter and on and on to make the boat reliable. I found a pair of 454's with transmissions and all marine gear for a reasonable amount. That is the only reason I am parting with the MELs. Years ago I took a 312 out of an old boat and put it in a 1954 F100, it was a beautiful thing...I know a marine engine built by Chris Craft would be wonderful for a classic car or Hot Rod.
