replacement carbs?

what can i use as a replacement carb for my 66 462? i think it was originally a carter but will a holley bolt up. looking for something better that what i've got please make some suggestions.

...have been using EDELBROCKS as replacements. But it is actually cheaper and easier to have the origional CARTER professionally rebuilt.

thanks for the info. can you reccomend a particular model to use? do the edelbrock carbs just bolt right up? do you know of anyone who makes an aftermarket intake? thanks

EDELBROCK

The EDELBROCK is a modern version of the older CARTER. The fuel inlet has to be moved. Other than that, it is basically a straight forward swap. 650CFM is all you need.

Like I said, most at the LCOC have agreed that they would rather have had their origional CARTER rebuilt.

There is (was) no aluminum 4V intake available for the MEL.

I had my '67 AFB rebuilt by National Carb, Jacksonville FLA; they did a great job refurbishing - the carb looked brand new - they replaced everything and offered a lifetime warranty for less than $200 shipped to my door.

Very pleased. Recommended!
