Another quickie:
I'm looking at getting a '65 for parts for my '64. Windshield, trunklid, disc front's, etc. Will the '65 hood fit on the sides and corners of my '65 engine compartment? If it did, it might give me the chance to do something with cold-air intake. I imagine a sort of a thin scoop right at the front of the hood, caused by the raised '65 inner hood area.

Pretty sweet '64. My brother and I got really lucky on ours. Although we've needed to rebuild the engine from the heads up (in retrospect, not really a big deal, but when we began, we knew nothing, absolutely nothing about cars, electricity, mechanics...etc.)...otherwise the interior is pristine...better shape than the one in the site you sent me. Ours has black leather, tilt steering, remote trunk opener, etc. Also, here's the clincher: we bought it for $860.00!! A local billionaire land owner/developer sold it to us, saying "I know I could get a lot more for it on the net, but you're a kid, and I know you'll have fun with it...just one condition: bring it by when you're done". Uhmmm...I took him up on it in about the time it takes to say yes. Since then, we've had torn the engine down to the block, block still in the car, had the heads re-machined with hardened seats, etc. Just found a '65 for $300 that I'm going to take the trunk lid and windshield from, as well as the disc brakes.

...that I usually post under my name, ...I just can't remember how my log in name (racecrafterFE) got into this line. First thought was that it was a bug, but maybe I'm just getting old LOL. Nothin' of importance
