Response to Piston shape for 58 430 v/s 63 and newer

If the pistons you have bought do not have the same dome shape, they are incorrect. These are not pop-ups but specially designed as they actually make the combustion chamber. The 63/65 430 4V had a more pronounced dome shape as they were redesigned (along with a small chamber in the head) to create better flame travel. Look throught all posts and there will be a host of info on MEL piston shape and why they are unique.
