Response to Getting close to building an engine and need some advice
 

You will gain .400 stroke with conversion to BBC rods. Stock journal size is 2.6 on MEL and 2.2 on BBC. Priciples are the same as on stroker BBC or 385 series fords. Go long rods and put the research into the pistons. Spend the extra bucks and get good quality pistons that can also handle nitrous, and use low tension rings. Lots of good stuff available. Be careful on over bore. Some blocks will not take a big over bore. Keep us posted TJR
