Response to production numbers
 

As far as I know (have researched), the exact number assembled is not known. The option was not released until APR 58 (late release) so many are over the counter conversions I would imagine as Bill Stroppe released these as kits and I am sure extra pieces were manufactured to sell as service replacement parts.
