Response to Identification on carb's...........

 

This all started I think with JBIRD wanting to know if a 383 MERC AFB was origional to a 59 BIRD. I had read somewheres where FORD put a HOLLEY on the LINC engines that went into the 59/60 BIRD but it turns out they were AFB's. Just trying to derive origionation of this particular carb and HAWKROD clued me in (through LCOC Forum) on the unique PN system used in 1958.
