I do not see a high enough demand for an 8V intake, as this is usually marketed to the performance crowd and there is just not enough of those wanting that amount of carburetion.
It seems most want a 4V to improve breathing and lighten engine weight. To complicate matters, most desiring this style of manifold own 61/68 LINCS that use the reduced height profile.
It would seem to me that anyone wanting this performance type could be able to fabricate their own using a 385 Series for a start. It might actually be more lucrative to actually graft an upper to custom plates and design coolant passover(s) rather than casting a completely new design.
As for the street 4V, it would dictate a dual plane, whereas anyone wanting to go EFI would need a single plane. Another consideration.
There was an offer about a year ago regarding participation on funding new cam blancs and having them custom ground to suit the buyer's need. Very little participation in that also.
The rocker covers and valley cover will sell well though I believe.
Anyone's else thoughts?
