Response to Let Me Clarify Here...

I just tried to install a new Mallory Unilite distributor (Jeg's 650-4755301) for a "Ford 352-428 FE" in my '63 Lincoln and it didn't fit.
The body of the new Mallory is .050 smaller in diameter than stock and the gear is slightly smaller in diameter as well. While the gear could be swapped the smaller housing is a deal breaker as the new distributor would be a very sloppy fit.
If anyone has a better idea I would like to hear it but in the meantime it's back to the old one for me.
