Response to '58 Super Marauder Parts Needed

These pieces are becoming very scarce. I would think you will be able to find just the intake itself fairly easily but the air cleaner, carbs and especially the rocker covers (they were optional) may be more difficult. The actual fuel pump is unobtanium.

Also, two different 3X2 intakes were available from EDELBROCK, one for three mount carbs and the other for the four mount Rochesters.

I have read that these installations were prone to fire damage due to the fuel line (rubber hose) routing over the intake from the special fuel pump. One cracked line and whoosh. The MERC and LINC installations were identical other than the air cleaner asm. and thermostat housing.

Here is an installation on a 58 LINC. Notice a fuel rail has been substituted;

"Those reading this page who are looking to buy an original tri-power intake and carburetor setup should contact Mr. Joe Bunetic. He buys and sells, as well as restores Ford Holley Tri-Powers! This graphic shows the typical inventory of Tri-Powers at Joe Bunetic's in St Louis(618 397-3580)! Call him anytime as these days he has retired and is just doing carburetors!
