I believe the MEL C6 is almost identical to the regular C6 other than the main case, and that only differing on the bolt pattern to the block. Is it possible you have a TWIN-TURBO? Is the bell and main case one piece (aluminum) or two separate pieces? Do you see a metal assembly I.D. tag on the servo cover?
