Camshaft Changes

MEL had a lot of casting/design problems with the first castings. It is all covered in MEL TSB's of that era. I still haven't found a complete set. Supposedly, anything cast after JAN 58 had been corrected as far as defects. They also had trouble with cylinder heads, camshafts and valvetrain. There was another design change regarding the valvetrain in 1963 I believe it was.

The EDSEL 410 was only used one year. The 59/60 TBIRD 430 was the exact same as the 1959 LINC and was taken off the LINC line at Wixom (The 60 LINC went to a 2V).

I hope to soon have all this information. Most of it is stretched out in this forum. But the setup makes it hard to bring it up without doing a lot of manual search. Maybe one day it will be put on a more modern system.
