My '63 Lincoln's alternator is rated at 40 amps and is driven by a double V-belt pulley. I would like to upgrade to a higher capacity unit (80-100 amps).
What is a good source for a unit that will fit. Summit and Jegs list several units but are all single grove drive.
If I buy a single V Ford unit can I swap pulleys?
An finally, any thoughts on a "single wire" system vs my existing solid state regulator? I have a voltmeter but would like to also keep my charge idiot light.
Thanks
